History-
They're not quite sure where it came from but some think it was invented from Thomas Jefferson because of his love for foods. The first published recipe of Macaroni and cheese was is 1824 by Mary Randolph (Jeffersons cousin). So in general I guess you could assume that Macaroni was invented in America.
